CURRICULAR GOALS
The curricular goals of Sankat Mochan Public School have always been to create a framework for improving student’s achievements and refocusing the objectives of education. The lessons and academic content taught in our school is strictly designed on the basis of National Curriculum Framework published in 2005 by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
The curriculum of Sankat Mochan Public School includes various co-curricular activities apart from academics. These activities are aimed towards enhancing the students’ learning in many ways.
The extra-curricular activities organised by our school include student newspapers, musical performances, art shows, mock acting, debate competitions, mathematical practices and calculation, robotics, and engineering teams, musical and quiz contests, poster makings etc. These activities don’t allow students to earn academic credit but undoubtedly adds in academic learning to a larger extent.
Apart from curricular activities, we, at Sankat Mochan Public School, occasionally organize different co-curricular activities intended for welfare of society and nation building. For example, the students of SMPS occasionally go to local places to spread awareness among people about cleanliness, personal health and hygiene, importance of education, conservation of natural resources, sustainable development, green movement, saving trees, water and other resources available to us.
For these, they host effective rallies and perform for common people. Students focus on delivering a positive message and work in coalition. This builds team-work spirit in them. These activities mainly take place outside the school premises. Students come ahead voluntarily to serve the community.
